How To Make : Eggnog!

I'm back with more recipe video!

Last week I filmed the how to make a Pointe Shoes shaped Shortcake and I ended up with some leftover Egg Yolks, and as a proud Asian #eaa i don't want to waste it, so I decided to turn those Egg Yolks into Eggnog!

For my fellow reader/viewer who might not know what an Eggnog is, it's an American drink, made from milk, cream and egg yolks, this is a festive drink that is popular during Christmas and winter, it's not common in Indonesia, my American friends did occasionally find it in some western supermarket, but it's really overpriced, and I have always wanted to try Eggnog, but I ain't buying those overpriced drink if I can make it myself! It's really easy too! And waaaaayyyyy cheaper than the ones they sell in those overpriced Bule supermarket, lol go to this link for the step by step video:

What you'll need are:

- 3 eggyolks
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of cream
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 nutmeg
- 1 tiny stick of cinnamon
- 1 shot of cinnamon vodka

STEPS:

1. Grate all the spices as fine as possible
2. Whisk together the yolks and sugar
3. In a medium sized pan, mix in the milk and cream, and bring to simmer, while whisking using medium low heat.
4. Mix in the spices to the milk mixture, and simmer them whilst occasionally stir it for 2 minutes.
5. Whilst whisking the egg mixture, pour in the milk, then pour the eggnog back to the pan, and heat it until it thicken
6. Pour the eggnog into a glass, then mix in the vodka, and you're done!

Isn't it easy AF? hahaha, so quick too, and the best part is: you can add as much alcohol as you desire, traditionally, American uses Rum for Eggnog, but my friend Indira happened to have a cinnamon vodka, which i think will taste INCREDIBLE with this, and guess what? I WAS RIGHT

If you're able to get some cinnamon vodka i recommend you to use it for Eggnog, it's so good!
I hoope you guys like the video! and I'm making more recipe and food adventure for my channel, stay tune! if you like it, please like, share and subscribe! See ya!

HOW TO MAKE POINTÉ SHOES CAKE (MY FIRST EVER COOKING CHANNEL EPISODE!)

Hey guys,

It's been ages huh? I was about to give up my passion and work in a corporate world but then my heart win in the end, hahaha~

As a start for me to pursue my passion, I'm making a series of Youtube Cooking Show!!! It's all on my channel, please come and visit! I'll also update everyting from my youtube channel to this blogspot, I still have a lot to learn, so feel free to give me criticism and suggestion! I will accept it happily :D

Recipe:

Vanilla Shortcake

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt

Decoration:

Pink Fondant
White Fondant
Cream

Step By Step :

- Preheat oven in 350 F or around 180 celcius, prepare the buttered cake tin and line them with baking paper.

- In a big bowl mix the flour, baking powder and salt.

- Cream the sugar and butter until pale, add eggs one at a time and beat thougroughly.

- Mix in the flour and milk into the sugar and egg mixture alternately, then add the vanilla extract and mix until well incorporated.

- Pour in the batter into cake tin, then bake for 30-35 minutes!

For the decoration:

- Roll the fondants thinly but still strong enough to hold it's shape.

- Whip up some cream.

Shaping The Cake :

- Cut the cake after it's cooled, according to the shape you want, I'm making a pointe shoes cake(cuz why not?) so I draw the edge of my shoes into the baking paper, then i cut the cake using the stencil.

- Cover the cake with cream, then the fondant, make sure the fondant is large enough for you to cover the cake.

you can add accesories like bow, and sole or even flower if you want!

I hope you guys enjoy the video and let me know if you have any critiques or suggestion! Thank you!

[RECIPE] How to Make Caramel Chocolate Fudge with Baileys

Hello!

So tomorrow is valentine's day huh? I never celebrate it because i've been single my whole life heheh~

BUT that doesn't mean i shouldn't make a chocolate for my friends~

I was so bored because i have to rest, i've got fever all week and sore throat but no cough thankfully and even though i supposed to rest i still go practice for dance yesterday and my condition is worse today...stupid me...

ANYWAY i'm getting off topic here,
So a couple of days ago i'm so bored so i tried to make some chocolate that i wanted to share with my family n friends, i decided to make a caramel chocolate fudge with bailey's, and everybody went crazy for it...i was so surprised they liked them because i wasn't sure about my recipe, and now people kept asking for the recipe! I thought i'll just share it here, i hope you guys likes it!

So what you'll going to need are:

200g of condensed milk
50d unsalted butter
225gr palm sugar
1tbs corn syrup
75gr dark chocolate for cooking, i got a cube ones, but if you don't have it you'll have to chop it so it will melt quicker

And last but not least
BAILEYS! I didn't measure it because i only put it little by little untill it suit my taste

Now the steps are:

1. In a medium low temperature, Melt the butter in a heavy based pan
2. Add the milk and stir them
3. Add the palm sugar little by little and stir them untill sugar dissolve
4. Add the corn syrup and keep stirring them in medium high temperature for around 25-30 minutes, untill they got thickened and turned into a caramel DO NOT STOP STIRRING OR THE CARAMEL WILL STICK TO YOUR PAN FOREVER
5. After the caramel is thick enough, add the chocolate quickly and stir untill the chocolate dissolve
6. Add the baileys
7. You can grease a pan with butter and put the fudge in the freezer for 1 hour, don't forget to spread them nicely :)
8. After letting the fudge cool down, cut them in cubes(you can use a mold if you want but i prefer the cubes)

And you're done!

A chocolate fudge is rare in my country so a lot of people go crazy on them because they never tried anything like it, i'm so happy that all my friends and family liked it ^^
