[RECIPE] Spaghetti Aglio Olio With Sautéed Mushroom

Hi i'm back!

Today i want to share another recipe, there's a backstory to this recipe, so once upon a time, me and my mother ate at this fancy restaurant where they serve this amazing pasta aglio olio, it was so good! But too pricey for me to go eat there often, so i decided to re-create the pasta myself! Took me a while... But i finally made it!

The original one is with smoked beef, but i'm actually not a big fan of meat so i use mushroom as substitute, and to me i tasted WAY better because the mushrooms adds more flavour and fragrance :)

Okay enough talking, let's get cooking!

What you'll need are:

- a big pot
- a stove (duh)
- a sharp knife
- a cutting board
- a rinser
- a pan

The ingredients are:

- 4 to 8 finely sliced cloves of garlic (depending on the size, indonesian garlic are super tiny)
- 3 tbs of olive oil
- salt
- grinded pepper
- grinded black pepper
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- chili flakes
- 5 sliced shitake mushrooms(or as much as you like)
- a handfull of dried spaghetti pasta

This recipe is for 1 person

Step by step:

- fill your pot with water and boil it, then put in your dried pasta and boil for 13-15 minutes then rinse it (if you made your own pasta then feel free to skip this step)

- heat up your pan in medium heat, pour in the olive oil, after the oil is hot put in the garlics, fry untill they start to brown

Like that

- put in the mushrooms, season with salt, peppers, black pepper, oregano, basil and chili flakes, just put in a little by little, usually i just eyeballed it and took a taste once in a while, plus everybody have different preferences in spices :D stir fry the mushrooms untill they shrinked, you can add water if the heat is too high.

- lower the heat and mix in the pasta, stir everything untill well combined, then serve!

I really love this recipe because it's very rich in flavour, and it's also healthy! And did i mention that this is vegan?

[RECIPE] FOOL PROOF FLUFFY PANCAKE BATTER

Hey guys! Remember me? LOL it have been ages since my last post!

Today i want to share another recipe!

I have always loved having pancakes for breakfast, but i didn't know how to make it, so i tried and tried and tried, untill finally i'm able to make my own fluffy pancakes!

This pancake batter creates a very fluffy and soft pancakes, it's very easy and sinple, it can made around 6-8 medium size pancakes, depending on how big is your medium :D

What you'll need is:

DRY INGREDIENTS :

100gr all purpose flour

6gr baking powder (yes it's a lot)

10gr powdered milk

15gr sugar

A pinch of salt

Sift them all together to make sure there are no lumps and the ingredients is well mixed.

WET INGREDIENTS

1 egg (room temperature)

120ml milk

30gr butter, melted

Whisk them all together untill a little bit foamy

NOTE : make sure your egg is in room temperature, because cold eggs won't give much volume and air, which can make your pancakes rubbery and won't fluff.

STEP BY STEP:

Pre-heat your pan in medium heat.

Whisk together your dry and wet ingredients in a big bowl, make sure there are no lumps, the batter should be thick, but lump free.

After making sure your pan is hot (at least 120 celcius) pour in the dough and fry for at least 1 minutes each sides.

Stack up your pancakes and serve them with what ever toppings or sauce you want, and enjoy!

If you want to take the pancakes to go but you don't want to bother bringing any sauce, you can put in nuts, chocolate chips, berries or even chocolate bars in the batter so you don't need anymore sauce or toppings ;)
