[RECIPE] Cherry Shortcake

Greetings everyone! Now, we all know that there is a special day in february, yep, Valentine's day! XD

Today i want to share a Cherry Shortcake recipe! Because i got this cute jar of cherries that i got from my friends at Athens when i danced there, thank you my friends! Greetings from indonesia, the cherries are awesome! Hope to see you again:D

So here it goes!

What you'll need are:

7" round pan
2 bowl
1 small bowl
Heart shaped cookie cutter

Cake:

2 eggs
250 gr flour
8 gr baking powder
20 gr salt
200 gr sugar
115 gr unsalted butter(melted)
4 gr vanila extract
500-550 ml milk (or as needed)

Buttercream:

200 gr icing sugar
100 gr unsalted butter
4 gr vanilla extract
1-2 tsp whip cream (or as needed)
A jar of cherry(for filling,as needed)

The steps are:

Cake:

1. Pre heat the oven untill 180 celcius then mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl

2. In separated bowl mix the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and melted butter untill creamy

3. Add the mixed flour mixture into the eggs mixture little by little and slowly pour the milk untill the texture is thick and creamy then pour it to the greased pan (i can't find my round pan when i made this because my mom borrowed it, so i had to use this) then bake it inside the oven for 30-40 minutes

4. While waiting let's start on the cream, mix the sugar, vanilla extract and butter while slowly pour the whipped cream untill creamy

5. For fillings, eparate some of the cream and put on the cherries(crushed) and mix it with spatula(and yes my cream in this picture is runny but you can dry 'em on a filter later)

6. After the cake is baked, wait for it to cool and cut it with the cookie cutter

7. Fill the cherry cream filling

8. And decorate the cake with the rest of the cream~ (yeah i know mine is a little messy because i'm not too god at decorating, but the important one is the taste, i'll keep practicing!!)

And there you go! A cherry shortcake~
That's all i want to share for now, if any of the you try this recipe, please do tell me your result and your opinion :)
