[REVIEW] Anna Sui Loose Powder Foundation

Hello everyone!
Merry christmas to all my christian reader n friends! I hope you guys have a blessed christmas :D

Today i want to write my review about Anna Sui's Loose Powder Foundation!

Tadaaah~

I ordered the 102 shade it's perfect for my skin!

Here's the close up for the product, the powder are inside a container attached to the brush, there's also a plastic cup inside to make sure the product is secured and not spilled

The brush is SO soft, and really small so it can help the powder to fill our pores!

This is the close up for the powder, can you see the plastic thingie? That plastic is  to make sure the product is not overload when we're using it, it has tiny holes so we can just use the brush to get the product, and as usual, Anna Sui's product has that subtle scent of rose, which is really nice

Let's try applying it! The powder is sooooooooooooooo soft it "melted" with your skin! And it feels so light when i applied it, i can only feel the brush, brushing against my face, so light it's like you're wearing nothing on your face!

Okay so the powder is really light, but does it covers your flaws?

So this is my bare face

Let's see if this product can cover all the break out i got from my monthly period eh?

First swipe, see how the powder "melt" into my skin? Let's blend it now shall we?

And TA DAH!!!! Not bad huh for such a tiny amount of powder, to be able to cover that much without the help on any concealer? I'm impressed! 😍😍😍

And tadah! My final looks for today's brunch, i didn't use any more powder to cover the foundation because i love how light my face feels plus the foundation already covers enough! And no i do not use any photoshop or filter here, just took it a few seconds ago with my iphone5 front camera on a bus, i only add a little cream blush so my face is not so pale

Pros n cons time!

Pros:
- very light formula
- micro powder, melt with your skin
- has a lot of shades
- already one set with the brush
- coverage is realy good for powder foundation
- doesn't have to use much of the product for application
- subtle rose scent
- easy to find in indonesia(jakarta area mostly)
- soft brush

Cons
- pricey
- the plastic secure thingie is not so useful...some product still spills:(
- no refills available (yet, hopefully they will have it later)

If Anna Sui is going to launch the refill i will definitely buy it! Love the product so much! But if not then maybe i'll consider it... Because the packaging, while is super cute, is also big and bulky, so i takes space, i do not want to have a lot of the packaging in my table...

So what do you think readers? Do you want to try this product? Or Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts? Share it with me on the comment below! Oh and if you have an instagram account let's be friends! My account is @jacq_tanoto ^^

[REVIEW & SWATCH] Max Factor Lipfinity

Hello guys!

Today i want to share my thoughts about Max Factor's Lipfinity No.142 ! So far this is my fave lip product that have a very long lasting power :) and it didn't make my lips dry too!

This is a special package, where we can get free lip balm when buying the lipfinity, the lipbalm is only okay...and a little too oily for me hehehe

Here are some swatches:

The color is bright coral, and when applied on the lips, it's softer and very pretty and narural!
I applied the product thinly, only 1 layer, this is how it looks when i applied it at 1 pm

And this is after lunch and drink at 5 pm the color is staring to fade but still there

This is after dinner at 6, still.there!

And this is after 2nd dinner at 11, the color in this picture made it seem like the color is still there nicely, but actually the color is already fading

If i'm not mistaken this is the 2nd generation of lipfinity, the old version only had 3 colors: pink, red and nude, the formula for the old one is a little bit more drying for your lips, especially if you use more than one layers, the new generation of lipfinity is better,i have a dark and dry lips, and when i applied this without lipbalm it still didn't dry my lips so i really like it! The result is matte, but if you apply the lip balm you can make it looks shiny and healthy :)

The formula will feel sticky on your lips, some people WILL hate this, it goes away when it dried up but i'm pretty sure this will be a negative factor for this product,so i don't recomend this product for people who hates weird effect on their lips :)

But if you don't mind all that, this is a great product! The lasting power beats Limecrime's velvetines, the color is natural and very pretty! Now they have more variations :D

So my pros n cons for this product are:

Pros:

- long lasting! And it won't fade much from eating and drinking
- the color is natural and pigmented
- didn't dry my lips
- affordable

Cons:

- the formula is sticky so some people won't like it

That is my thought on this product! Have any of you guys tried this? If you have please share your thought on it at the coment below! ^^

[Dupe Alert! + REVIEW ] Lime Crime Dupe from PAC

Hi y'all!

A week ago i bought Lime Crime's Pink Velvet for my show, thinking i wouldn't have to retouch so many times for when i eat, drink, doing face change, or accidentally got hit when dancing(it happened) also because there are 2 shows in a day, so i thought this lime crime will help me reduce one more thing to re-apply

And?

I was wrong...

Well the color is really pigmented,it really didn't dry your lips, it's also very light i can feel it, but the staying power is only okay, i've been reading and hearing reviews about limecrime velvetines lip stain, that said "the colors will stay even after you woke up from your sleep" well...psh! I think it's overrated, for me the staying power is only okay, max factor's lip stain's staying power is much better, but it made your lips dry though...

Picture time!

The aplicator is a small wand that made it easier to apply the product to my lips
I scraped most of the product, the color is really pigmented even though you only use a little product, nice! The lipstain is water based, but it gradually feel sticky

On dim lighting

After 3 hours (no drinking or eating, indoor lighting)

After 6 hours (still no eating n drinking)

After appetizer...sashimi and wakame...is appetizer right?

After finished dinner!

Most of the lipstain is gone :'(

Oh well i guess it is hard to find a perfect lip product hehehehe

I still love the product though, the pigmentation is amazing, it's vegan so it's nice for our skin! The matte result is also so gorgeous

But you know what? I actually had the dupe way before this! Hehehe

I present to you PAC matte lipstick in dare pink!

(Can you guess which is which?)

The color is exactly the same! The finished look is also matte and both product didn't made my lips dry!

As you can see in the picture limecrime(left one) is more pigmented :)
but sorry lime crime, i'd still prefer to repurchase PAC for it's wayyy more cheaper (50% cheaper guys!)

Tada! The color is really similar, (in these pics the lighting made PAC looked darker but it's not, just bad lighting hahaha while the limecrime one is took near LED light)

PAC matte lipstick is a little bit shinier while Lime Crime is really matte

Okay... So pros n cons time!

First:
Lime Crime
Pros:
- very pigmented
- kiss proof(cheek to cheek,not lips)
- gorgeous matte result
- didn't dry my lips
- vegan!

Cons:
- expensive
- hard to get in my country
- staying power is only okay
- not water, oil, and smudge proof

PAC
Pros:
- cheaper
- easy to get in my country
- gorgeous matte result
- pigmented
- didn't dry my lips

Cons:
- not kiss proof(again, cheek to cheek not lips) nor water, oil, or smudge proof
- not vegan, which means possibility for a person with sensitive skin get irritation is higher
- eh...i got nothing more hahaha

So yea, basically i'll only repurchase PAC because it's more worth my money hehehehehehe so sorry lime crime!

I hope this review helps!

[REVIEW] Les Merveilleuses De Laduree Rose Petal Blush

Hi guys!

Finally my musical is doonnneee soo happy yay! I'm gonna miss the rush hehehehee~

Today i wanna make a review for Les Merveilleuses de Laduree's rose petal blush!

This suupppeeerrr cuuuuttteeee blush can only be bought in japan or france (for now) i bought it online from @ettusais_cosme

This blush is sold separately from the case though :( which made it more expensive, but the case can be use for keeping potpourri later :D because the blush is definitely inspired from potpurri (well...i assume...)

This is the case for the blush petals

Voila! Inside the box is a satin pouch that is used to cover the blush petal

This is the case for the blush petals, the manufacturer already arranged them into a rose so cute <3

And that's the case, it's made from plastic, and the lid had no secure lock so we have to be carefull

Zoom into the petal...wow such details!
Btw i expect the petal will be hard like a chip, but it turns out the petal is so thin like a paper! And soft too~ They also have a rose fragrance not too much though, the fragrance is gentle

And tadaa! I tried my best to arrange the petals into a rose...i think i did an okay job....right?

Okay now for swatches and review:

To use the blush it's imposibble to keep the blush in the rose shape :'D because you have to mix your brush into it and hey, surpisingly, the color is more pigmented than i thought! I've read some review saying the blush color is not so pigmented so i assume a faint color but this blush is actually not bad~

I put the blush on in one swipe and the color is nice! Really natural, I love the color :3

I seriously didn't think that the color will be pigmented, of course it's not the most pigmented blush in the world, i'm just surprise because i expect it to be very sheer n faint colored hehehe

And this is me 3 hours after appliying, the color is still there, but i didn't sweat and i used car for traveling today, so i'm not so surprised i'll try using it for work and practice next time mwahahahah~

So the conclusion is

Pros :

- super cute packaging
- super cute design
- the color is pigmented enough(recomended for daily only though...for a show in other hand...it'll be a waste because you have to use a huge amount of blush)
- the formula didn't feel heavy
- the fragrance is gentle

Cons :

- super expensive, especially because you have to buy the case sepparately
- super hard to find outside japan n france(which made it more expensive)
- not really worth it if you're the kind of people who value quality=price hehehe

Will i buy it again?
Well...probably...when i'm getting married in the future? U know, for photoshoot and videoshooting lol not sure my blush will stay a long time considering i've never even had a boyfriend untill now ahahahahaha~

Well i'm gonna go have a dinner now, oh btw in the picture i used limecrime pink velvetines, which going to be my next review! Let's see if this lipstain really stay a long time ;D ciao for now!

[DIY] Masquerade Mask From Hot Glue

Woohoo~

There are 2 exciting things that is coming near! First is of course, the Dancical that i'm in, Gigi Art of Dance's E-motions : Daun Terakhir (last leaf) which is coming soon in november 16 peeps! For you guys who lives in jakarta you should definitely watch it because it's gonna be aaaaaaaaawwwweeeeesoooommmmeeeee!!!! 450 performers, 27 dances and a mission to save the earth that's like mega awesomeness, plus you'll get like free seeds that you can plant in your house!

And second is : HALOWEEN!

Booyah!

It's like my favourite holiday because i can use my creativity to make weird stuff hehehehe last year i created a zombie make up using cottons like this :

Whaddya think? Not bad for first timer?

This year, i wanted to make something pretty...because...i feel like it lol and i'm also obbsessed with the lace masquerade masks they are awesome! But....so friggin expensive so...i tried to make them by myself! And they also gonna be wore by the dancers at my musical later hohoho

So, let me share to you the trick to make a masquerade mask in super cheap and easy way:

What you'll need are:

- a paper
- a glue gun
- lots of glue gun refill
- paint of your choice
- glitter of your choice
- clear tape
- beads,jewels,pearls of your choice
- pencil
- marker
- paint brush
- tulle
- thick plastic(clear)
- scissors
- a mask design (if you want)
- stretchy thread

And here are the steps:

1. Draw your own mask design or you can google it and print it out

NOTE: if you draw it yourself, and you're making a 2 sided mask, you can draw half in one side of paper then flip it, trace it on the other side to make it even.

2. Tape your drawing/design down, then cover it with thick and clear plastic, don't forget to tape it too and lastly, tape the tulle on top of them.

(Ps: i did NOT draw this, i printed it, all credits goes to google and the artist which i'm so sorry i forgot to save your name)

3. Take your glue gun, and trace the glue according to the design, then wait for the glue to dry and take it off.

Tada~

4. After cutting all the unused tulle, paint the dried glue, then sprinkle them with glitter A.K.A pixie dust ( had to say it sorry XD) then wait for the paint to dry off.

(My poison ivi inspired mask prototype)

5. After the paint is dried, it's time to decorate! In this pic i was working on a mask that's going to be used for my musical, it's only a simple one, i just use some fake pearls and glue 'em to the tulle with the glue gun.

6. Lastly put on the stretchy thread, you can sew it through the tulle or just glue gun it it's up to you :D and voila! You're dooonnnneee~

(Was so excited, i don't care that i have no make up and hasn't finished cutting the left over tulle yet lol, don't judge me)

Yaaayyy~ i already finished 2 type of masks phew! I still need to make 2 more mask designs for my musical, and some more accecories...and the photoshoot is next week! Such a pressure... Wish me luck! I don't have much time to do a proper photoshoot and make up :( but i really want to share this tutorial for my readers, who knows some of you will find this tutorial usefull :D

Gotta go now! Need to rest for my work n practices tomorrow, see ya guys! Tell me what you think on the comment, oh and if you have an instagram, let's be friends! My account is: @jacq_tanoto

Bye for now! :*
